Welcome from Mrs Haggett

This week has been full of community spirit and celebration here at Woodslee! From the joy of our Harvest Festival to parents joining us for the phonics meeting, it’s been wonderful to see so many moments of connection and learning. Our staff have taken part in first aid training, while Bromborough Loves Books volunteers continue to nurture a love of reading with our children. We’ve also launched our new “Positive Pasta” behaviour and attendance reward, and held our very first community team (PTA) meeting—another exciting step in working together to support our school community.

Meet our Parent-Staff Attendance Team

🌟 We are celebrating our Parent Attendance Champion! 🌟

Such a positive and productive meeting, planning exciting ways forward together.

A huge thank you to our amazing parents – your support is vital in making a real difference here at Woodslee. 💙

Coming to school every day is really important. It helps pupils achieve their best in lessons, spend time with friends, and get ready for life after school. Regular attendance builds good habits like routine and responsibility, which are skills needed for future success. Being in school also means children can make the most of learning opportunities, strengthen friendships, and grow the social skills that will support them throughout life.

This photo was taken in 1907, before our school was even built. When Woodslee was built almost a century ago, it wasn't designed to handle modern traffic. Nowadays, the road outside is very busy, and we are actively working with the local council and police to improve safety.

We need your help to make a difference. Please consider walking, scooting, or biking to school whenever possible. If you must drive, dropping your child off a little further away and walking the last bit will significantly reduce congestion and improve safety for all our students.

To ensure the safety of our children, our gates must remain closed during the school day. For this reason, vehicular access is restricted, and we are unable to offer on-site parking. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

This Week at Woodslee! 🌟
